FOREIGN TRADE ZONE- TACOMA WAREHOUSE
Puget Sound International is a Port of Tacoma designated general US Foreign Trade Zone. This allows importers to take advantage of deferring U.S. Custom duties and excise taxes until merchandise leaves the Foreign Trade Zone. Merchandise can be stored while waiting for favorable market conditions or for inventory and cash flow purposes.

For example, since our Customers are allowed access during storage, they can utilize that time to inspect, assemble or retrofit whatever is necessary to bring items into compliance with U.S. requirements. Merchandise scheduled for re-export may avoid customs fees entirely.
